다양한 소재를 통해 간결하면서 긴장감 있는 형상성과 감성적 화면을 구현하고자 한다. 전체적인 구성은 사실성과 추상성의 조화라 할 수 있으며, 그 추상성이란 부분에서 약간은 성질이 다른 재료나 손에 익은 테크닉을 동원하고 확대된 부분형상과 주제를 접목하고 심상의 색을 표출한 재해석 등으로 보다 더 자유로운 회화공간을 연출하고자 한다.

구상과 추상의 공존은 어떤 정지된 시간의 단순한 재현이 아닌 감성을 자극하는 특화된 내면의 메시지를 형상화 하려는 것이다. 그 대상이 인체이건 하나의 사물이건 자연의 부분이건 내 범주 안에서 재구성된다. 이러한 나의 작업은 주로 수성(수채화&아크릴)재료를 사용한다. 물이라는 용매로 표현되는 독특함이 작업을 자극하고 즐기게 한다. 때론 오일 작업도 하지만 분명히 비교되는 세계가 있다. 물과 일체가 되는 작업은 계속 될 것이고, 나에겐 풍부한 영감의 산실이 될 것이다. 자유로울 수 있으니...
